Brown County Sheriff’s officials confirm that the two missing teenage boys who ran away from New Horizons Ranch were apprehended around 7:30pm Monday.
According to law enforcement, the teens were apprehended in a stolen vehicle.
“They have been apprehended in Albany, Texas, in a car believed to be stolen from Brown County,” said BCSO Captain Tony Aaron.
Details are still developing according to Aaron.
Searching for the boys was interrupted for some search members as they were alerted to a report of a missing elderly lady near Brookesmith who became lost overnight in the cold temperatures. The woman was also found this evening, bringing both searches to an end.UPDATE – 12:15pm
Law enforcement agencies continue their search Monday for two teens who ran away from New Horizons Ranch in Mills County last week.
Mills County Sheriff’s officials confirmed that Matthew Wilkins, 16, and Brandon Cooper, 14, ran away from the facility last Thursday and were suspected of stealing an all-terrain vehicle and hunting rifle which were reported missing a few miles from the New Horizons Ranch.
Although the teens are classified as runaways, Brown County Sheriff’s officials say they are accused of several crimes.
“…they have committed several felonies and are considered armed,” said Tony Aaron of the Brown County Sheriff’s office.

Brown County law enforcement and Mills County Sheriff’s Department are currently looking for two teens that went missing from the New Horizons Ranch in Goldthwaite on Thursday and were believed to be heading home to Abilene.
According to Brown County Sheriff officials, the boys were sighted early Monday morning in the Brownwood area and are believed to be near the Hwy 279 and FM 2632 area. Law enforcement asks the public to avoid this area unless they have business in the vicinity. If anyone in this area sees anything suspicious, they are asked to call law enforcement.
Currently, a DPS helicopter search team and Texas Rangers are assisting BCSO units with the search of the area.
The two boys were reported to be on an all-terrain vehicle and in possession of a missing hunting rifle. Currently, the boys have abandoned the ATV and are currently believed to be traveling on foot.
