One woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident involving a school bus Monday morning.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the railroad crossing on Morris Shepherd Drive, near Southpark Development Center and the Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
A Mazda minivan, driven by the woman who was injured, was reported to have rear-ended the school bus at approximately 7:41 a.m. She was transported by ambulance to Brownwood Regional Medical Center.
Emergency responders on scene reported that there were no students on the school bus. It appeared the bus was stopped at the railroad crossing as required by law.
The minivan received significant front-end damage while the bus appeared to have received very minimal damage to the rear bumper.
Brownwood Police Department, Brownwood Fire Department and Guardian EMS responded to the scene of the accident.
