Breyle Sauseda was crowned the 2016 Brownwood High School Homecoming Queen on Friday at Gordon Wood Stadium during the Lions’ game against Alvarado High School.   The announcement of the homecoming queen was made quickly before the game was ultimately cancelled due to multiple lightning strikes and heavy rain.

Sauseda was one of four nominees from the senior class, which included Tyanne Selvie-Stewart, Kayla McFarden, Breyle Sauseda, and Sydney Rodriguez.  The queen was selected this week by the BHS student body.

Breyle Sauseda is the daughter of Joey and Misty Fry and the older sister of Hudson Fry.

She is an active member of Calvary Baptist Church and the youth group at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church.

She participates in cross country, track, and basketball where she has received Academic All-District honors and was a member of the historic Lady Lion basketball team that reached the first ever regional tournament. Throughout the school year, Breyle volunteers 25 plus hours while being involved with HOSA, FCA, Student Council, Key Club, and the Choices Mentoring Program. Breyle also currently serves as president for the National Honor Society.

Upon graduation, Breyle plans to attend college to pursue a career in nurse anesthesia.
