Sarah B Gleaton Davis, 90 of Brownwood went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 5, 2012. Sarah was born on August 2, 1922 in Comanche, TX to George and Zodie Gleaton. She graduated from Blanket High School and played basketball. She was in retail sales at the M&M Shop for 6 years and J.C. Penney’s were she retired from. She was a member of the Lake Brownwood United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir. She was a diehard fan of the Dallas Mavericks and was famous for her coconut pies. She had a great sense of humor and loved life and laughter. She was an amazing mother who loved her family with all her heart. She touched the lives of many and will be missed by all who loved her.
Sarah is survived by her children, Jan Edwards and Gary of Brownwood, Richard and Kerry Davis of Brownwood, Harell and Sherry Davis of Brownwood, Debra and Brent Thomas of Brownwood. Grandchildren: Greg Edwards and Amanda, and children Josh, Ethan, Noah, and Samantha. Corey and Jason Cline and children Dylan and Cody; Courtney and Cameron Davis and child Jaxton Norway. Amber Browne, Audree Browne, Zac Merrick, LeeAnn Thomas. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by Frank D. Davis (Tobe)
;granddaughter Kimberly Davis, Great granddaughter Makayla Browne; three sisters and seven brothers. The family will receive friends at the Blaylock Funeral Home on Saturday September 8th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Services will be held on Sunday September 9th at 2:00 p.m. at the Blaylock funeral Home with Pastor John Beckling and Richard Hetzel officiating. Interment will follow at the Greenleaf Cemetery. In Liu of flowers memorials can be made to the Lake Brownwood United Methodist Church.
