The Santa Anna High School One Act Play recently competed in the District competition hosted by Bronte High School. They returned home with five awards. Shawn Robertson-Best Actor, Charity Holland-All Star Cast, Amber Musick and Kianna Albritton- Honorable Mention All-Star Cast and Spencer Gilbreath-Best Technical Crew.
The play, “Royal Gambit” by Hermann Gressieker and produced by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc. features Henry VIII and his six wives. Henry Tudor is played by Shawn Robertson, Katarina of Aragon (Charity Holland), Anne Boleyn (Amber Musick), Jane Seymour (Kianna Albritton), Anne of Cleves (Lauren Denis), Kathryn Howard (Loren Pritchard), and Kate Parr (Kelsie Tobin).
Members of the crew that make this production possible are: Zach Diaz, Spencer Gilbreath, Aspyn King, Makaylah Morris, and Mariah Murray. They are directed by Ginger Vinson.
The cast and crew of “Royal Gambit” would like to invite you to their final performance of the year. It will be held Thursday evening at 7:30 pm at Santa Anna High School. They will be holding a dessert raffle as well to benefit the Drama Club. Come out for an evening of entertainment, British History, and dessert!
