A graveside funeral service for Sandra “Sandy” Gregory will be held at 10:30 AM, Friday June 6, 2014 in the May Cemetery.
Heartland Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Sandy went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 2, 2014 at her home. She was born on September 28, 1950 in Sacramento, California to Virginia Neely Story and William Powell. She was a Registered Nurse and semi-retired. She loved helping others and was a talented poet and writer.
She was preceded in death by her brother Phillip Powell and a daughter Tracie Jones.
Sandy is survived by her husband Thomas Gregory of May, her mother, Virginia Neely Story of Rising Star, a sister, Billie Jean Rainbolt of Palestine, Arkansas; two daughters, Carolyn Morris of Tulia and Yvette Howard and husband Chris of Joshua; a son, Robert Guthery of Slaton. She raised Tracie’s children, Gary Jones of Oklahoma and Sarah Jones of Fort Worth. She is also survived by two step-children, Jeff Gregory and wife Shana of Owens and Jennifer Hanson and husband Martin of Comanche; eight other grandchildren, eight grand-children, two step-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
