Our precious Sam is now at home with his heavenly Father, breathing in all the glories of heaven and smiling down on us.
He passed on November 23, 2013 at home surrounded by his family and faithful beloved Jaker.
Sam enjoyed his life spending time with family and friends. Some of his most enjoyable pastimes were playing the drums and guitar, fishing, and let’s not forget, going to breakfast with his dear friend Don. Sam said, “It was fun”!
God blessed us by bringing Sam into this world on December 6, 1954 in Bosier City, Louisiana, as a son of Stanley Jr. and Jacqueline Eaves
Those left behind to cherish his memory and miss him are his wife Marlene Cope Eaves; son Cassidy Eaves with wife Shannon and granddaughters Aubrey and Olivia of Killeen; daughter Shannon Eaves with granddaughter Sidney of Abilene; son Joe Roberson with wife Angela and grandsons Tyler, Kyler and Riley of Abilene; son Tye Cope with wife Kelley and granddaughters Carlie and Hannah of Coleman; son Cody Cope with wife Tara and grandchildren Sky, Brody, and Clayton of El Paso; brother Dale with wife Linda of Abilene; as well as his buddies from work and many friends. We would like to thank the physicians and nurses with Texas Oncology in Austin, Texas. Sam feels that Dr. Jennifer Wright was a blessing from God to help him through this journey in his life.
Sam said what he would miss out on the most was getting to be Sampa and watching the grandkids grow.
Those that greeted him in heaven are parents Stan and Jackie Eaves, brother Bill Eaves, and wife Eike Eaves.
