On Thursday, November 17th, members of the S.A.D.D. (Students Against Destructive Decisions) performed an outreach program alerting students about the severe consequences of drunk driving and texting while driving.
Three officers of the club, dressed as the Grimm Reaper, moved throughout classes at Brownwood High School and extracted other members. After quickly painting their faces and changing into black clothing, the members returned to their classes symbolizing a casualty.
Between classes, the SADD members gathered with signs displaying statistics and personal stories of real victims of drunk driving and texting accidents. Instructed not to speak for the remainder of the day, these “casualties” are designed to represent the number of student deaths per hour caused by destructive decisions.
