Sabrina Ann “Leard” Kingston, age 61, passed from this earth on August 20, 2017 while surrounded by her family after a long struggle with non-alcoholic liver disease. Funeral services will be held 10:00 AM Thurday, August 24, 2017 at the Early First Baptist Church with Bro Eddie Ailshie officiating. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Heartland Funeral Home in Early.
Sabrina was born in Snyder, TX on April 11, 1956 to the late Leroy and Juanita Leard of Kermit. She was raised in Kermit, TX where she met and married the love of her life Michael Kingston. She graduated from Sul Ross State University with her teaching degree. She spent the next 28 years imparting knowledge to first graders in Ft. Stockton, Brownwood and Early. The last 26 years she spent teaching first grade at Early where she reluctantly retired due to her health. She dearly loved all of the children in her school, loved teaching and took pride in watching them grow in to young adults.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years Michael Kingston of Early; two loving daughters who cared for and loved her, Christy Kingston Barnett & husband Chad of Mason and Heather Kingston Sweaney & husband Rich of Brownwood. She also had five beautiful grandkids, Brogan and Kyson Barnett and Harrison, Hadley and Henley Sweaney. She also had an older brother, Weldon Leard of Brownwood, Mother-in-law Florene Kingston of Kermit, sister-in-law Cheryl Kay Sawyer of Overton and several nieces and nephews.
Sabrina was on a liver transplant list when she passed. The family would like to help support other liver transplant patients and their families while they are awaiting a liver transplant.
