Brownwood News – The Deputies of the Brown County Sheriff’s Department have responded to numerous calls for service in recent days.

  • On Tuesday, June 18, 2019, at approximately 11:54 am, a Deputy met with a complainant in reference to the theft of his medication.  A report will follow.
  • On Tuesday, June 25, 2019, at approximately 12:09 pm, a Deputy responded to the 8000 block of County Road 603 in reference to several mailboxes being broken into.  The report will follow.
  • On June 26, 2019, at about 09:22 hours, a Deputy arrived at the Brownwood Law Enforcement Center, 1050 W. Commerce.  This was in regards to harassment.  The Deputy spoke to a man who stated a former employee was harassing his customers after being fired Monday.
  • On Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at approximately 12:18 pm, a Deputy met with a complainant in reference to his mailbox being broken into in the 8000 block of CR 603.
  • On Wednesday, June 26, 2019, a Lieutenant spoke with a man regarding his bike being stolen.  A report was taken and the bike was entered into TCIC as stolen.  There are no known suspects at this time.
  • On June 26, 2019, at approximately 1910 hours, a S.O. Corporal responded to CR 237 for an animal bite report.
  • On June 26, 2019, at approximately 21:51, a S.O. Deputy assisted another Deputy on a suspicious vehicle at the intersection of FM 45 N / Dickman Dr. in Brownwood.  After further investigation, the vehicle had struck a fence at the TR Havins Unit at this intersection.  The male driver was ultimately arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and Resisting Arrest.  A report was made.
