A fire in the 8800 block of South FM 45, destroyed a shed and home south of Brownwood Monday afternoon.

According to Brownwood Fire Marshal the fire began in the RV shed adjacent to the house and resulted in the total loss of the home; however, there were no injuries.  The homeowners, Bob and Ann Beadel, were present at the time the fire began, according to Preston.

Brownwood Fire Department, along with Early, Zephyr, Lake Bridge, Winchell and Dam Volunteer Fire Departments responded to the scene.  Lifeguard Ambulance was also called for standby.

The Citizens’ Emergency Response Team (CERT) responded bringing much needed drinks and snacks for firefighters.  Brown County Emergency Management brought meals for firefighters.  The Red Cross also responded, offering the homeowners relief, meeting some of their immediate needs.

No information was available regarding the cause of the fire.
