Graveside services for Ruth Pursley Beyers, age 92, of Kerrville, formerly of Zephyr, will be at 1 PM Friday, December 26, 2014 at the Zephyr Cemetery. Mrs. Beyers died Tuesday, December 23, 2014 in Kerrville.
Ruth was born on April 26, 1922 in Sylvester, Texas to Leonard and Anne Pursley. She was married to William “Dub” Beyers on April 11, 1948 in Roby. She was a member of Zephyr United Methodist Church.
Ruth is survived by a daughter, Lee Ann Allen and husband John of Kerrville; a son, William A. Beyers III and wife, Debbie of Gainesville, Florida; a daughter, Noretta B. Lovell and husband Toby of Pearland; two grandsons, Scott Allen of Kerrville and Matthew Beyers of San Diego, California; a granddaughter, Brittney Lovell of Pearland, great-grandchildren, Cash Allen of Kerrville, Jackson Beyers of San Diego, California and Wyatt Beyers of San Diego, California; and brother Cadmus A. Pursley of Andrews.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Ruth’s memory to MD Anderson Hospital in Houston.
