Ruth Irvagean Twomey, 63, of Brownwood died on Sunday, June 8, at her home in Brownwood. She was cremated under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home and Cremations.  A private graveside service will be held at a later date.

Ruth Irvagean Loggins was born on December 26, 1950, in Crane, Texas to Irvin John Loggins and Ila Bean (Mobley) Loggins. She had worked as a seamstress, a beautician and a homemaker throughout her life. On December 8, 1990, Ruth married Wilburn Lester Twomey Jr., at the LDS Temple in Dallas. She had lived in Brownwood since 2009, moving here from San Angelo.

She is survived by her husband, Wilburn Lester Twomey, Jr. of Brownwood; a son, Mikah Newcomb of Mesquite;   two sisters, Kathy Newcomb of Mesquite and Deannie Newcomb of Breckenridge.

She was preceded in death by her stepdaughter, Maggie Coin.
