Funeral services for Ruth Inman, age 87, of Ballinger, formerly of Blanket, will be at 10:30 AM, Monday, March 30, 2015 in the Heartland Funeral Home Chapel with Bobby Broyles officiating. Burial will follow in the Moro Cemetery near Blanket. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
Mrs. Inman passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015 in a Ballinger care facility.
Ruth Brewster was born on June 3, 1927 in Blanket to Jake and Matilda (Elliott) Brewster. She graduated from Blanket High School and married A.J. Inman on February 16, 1947 in Blanket. Ruth worked in the cash office of Montgomery Ward for a number of years before retirement. She was a longtime resident of Brown County and a member of the Brady Avenue Church of Christ prior to moving to Ballinger in 1999.
Ruth is survived by a daughter, Pat Hopper and husband Jesse of Ballinger, a son Joe Inman and wife Debbie of Early; six grandchildren, Jesse Hopper, Jr. and wife Belinda of Cedar Hill, Stacy Hopper of Ballinger, Waverly Inman and wife Michelle of Stephenville, Aaron Inman and wife Chelsea of Brownwood, Angela Hume of Brownwood, and Lynn Evans and wife Beverly of Brownwood; sixteen great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, and a sister-in-law, Shirlene Bishop of San Marcos.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband of fifty-three years, A.J. Inman, a brother, Ben Brewster, and a sister, Opal Brewster.
