Services for Running-Deer Bessette, 63, of Bangs will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, May 17, 2018 at the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. Running-Deer passed away Monday, May 14, 2018.
Running-Deer was born in Colchester, Vermont on August 9, 1954 to Clifford and Joan (Curtis) Bessette. He served in the United States Army with tours in Germany, South Korea and Viet Nam. He also fought in the Gulf War. He retired from the Texas Army National Guard. He enjoyed square dancing, playing video games, spending time outside, building and spoiling his grandkids.
Those left to cherish his memories are son Jerrick (Heather) of Bangs; daughter Julie (Michael) Pyle of Waco; grandchildren Landen and Alyssa Bessette and Jesse Pyle; sisters Pale Moon Winslow and Teki Cass of Vermont; Noreen Gilbert of Colorado; Hazel Ouellette (Charles) of Florida and Sherri Nix (Cookie), Lorie McWhirter (Mike), and brother, Carl Boivin (Teri) all of Brownwood and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Running Bear Bessette and several aunts and uncles.
