The Runaway Train Cafe announced that it has received a TripAdvisor® Certificate of Excellence. Now in its sixth year, the achievement celebrates hospitality businesses that have earned great traveler reviews on TripAdvisor over the past year. Certificate of Excellence recipients include accommodations, eateries and attractions located all over the world that have continually delivered a quality customer experience.
“We’re so grateful for our awesome customers who took the time to leave a review. It really helps us to continue doing a good job for them,” said Kim Bruton, co-owner of The Runaway Train Cafe. “All our loyal customers make the Train such a fun place to be for 10 years going strong! And we really appreciate the opportunity from companies like TripAdvisor that give us the ability to reach outside our area to make new friends with people traveling through our wonderful city.”
The local favorite restaurant has consistently gained high reviews on several platforms including Facebook, Yelp and TripAdvisor from satisfied diners impressed with the quality of food, fast and friendly service, and unique setting inside the remodeled train car located at 3600 Stephen F Austin Drive in Brownwood. The friendly faces at The Runaway Train are also well known for their community involvement, helping during local fundraisers and offering a free hot lunch to the community on Christmas Day.
“With the Certificate of Excellence, TripAdvisor honors hospitality businesses that have consistently received strong praise and ratings from travelers,” said Heather Leisman, Vice President of Industry Marketing, TripAdvisor.
The Certificate of Excellence accounts for the quality, quantity and recency of reviews submitted by travelers on TripAdvisor over a 12-month period. To qualify, a business must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, have a minimum number of reviews and must have been listed on TripAdvisor for at least 12 months.
“We’re very proud that one of our local restaurants has been honored in this way and we’re happy to recommend them to visitors in the Brownwood area,” said Sunni Modawell, Tourism Director for the Brownwood Chamber of Commerce.
The Runaway Train is open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, serving American cafe classic food like burgers, sandwiches, homemade soups, salads, and Blue Bell Ice Cream.
