Funeral Services for Royce Daniel Gober, Sr., age 51, of Brownwood, Texas will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 18, 2015 at the Heartland Funeral Home.  Interment will follow in the Rocky Creek Cemetery.   The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday at the funeral home.  Mr. Gober passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Royce was born February 21, 1964, the last child to John Wayne Gober and Linda Blocker in Brownwood, Texas.  He spent most of his life in Brownwood. Royce was a wonderful and loved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandpa and friend.  He truly loved and cherished his family.   He worked many years at his dad’s company Ace Tree Service, where he and his brothers helped keep the business running smoothly.

Through his marriage, Royce had 3 daughters and one son, as well as 2 stepdaughters.  He later remarried and gained 2 stepdaughters.  Royce enjoyed playing washers, checkers, dominoes, horse shoes and cards.  He also enjoyed spending time at the lake and fishing.  He had a great sense of humor and loved making people laugh with his many jokes and stories of his younger years.  He would stump you every time with numerous riddles, and loved laughing at you when you finally gave up and begged for the answer.  He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Royce is survived by his stepmother Linda Gober, his wife Wanda Gober, brothers William Gatlin and wife Crystal, Billy Gatlin and wife Katherine, sister Sabrina Gatlin and Marcos Reyes; daughters Brenda Ewing, Mariska Gober and Daniel Solis, Shawna Gober and Mike Steele; son Royce Gober; stepdaughters Kim Baldwin and husband Harold, Shannon and Lisa; brothers Bobby Hamill and wife Billie, and Shane Hamill.  He had six granddaughters, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his brothers Charles Wayne Gober jr., Johnny Gober; sister Brenda Jean Gober; nephew Chris Gober; mother Linda Kay Gatlin; stepfather Willie Gatlin; father John Wayne Gober and brother Kenneth Earl Hamill.
