Roy Jones, age 68, of Brownwood went to be with the Lord on April 4, 2010 in Brownwood. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Roy Weldon Jones was born August 27, 1941 to David and Marie Jones, in Chickasha, OK. He moved to West Texas at an early age. Roy was a retired farmer and truck driver. He retired to the Brownwood area in 2004.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his father David Jones and his brother Michael Jones.
Survivors include his mother Marie Jones, three daughters; Renay Kristapher of Kress, Deana O’Neal of Kress, and Brenda Stopford of Amarillo, TX, three grandchildren Monty Clayton and wife Tamara of Clarks, NE, Lacey Ledesma and fiancé Sergio Garcia of Dallas, and Jackie Jones of Amarillo, his brother David Stephen Jones of Oklahoma City, OK, four sisters; Jean Kuhn of Achille, OK, Donna Gipson of Brownwood, June Mann of Oklahoma City, OK, Jeanell Drake of Plainview, and several nieces and nephews.
