According to Ronnie and Liz Charanza, “The 2 of Us Couples Tournament” at Lake Brownwood Sunday was “Cold & Frosty! That is how you can describe our first tournament on Lake Brownwood. It was 28 degrees at the beginning of our tournament and frost everywhere. Be careful “sliding” down the boat ramp to your boat! We had 11 couples brave the cold with us. Although later in the day we were shucking all that worm clothing because it turned out to be a nice day. “

As reported on FishingWorld.com in a story by Ronnie and Liz Charanza, there were 10 bass and one turtle brought to weigh in. Only two couples weighed in 2 bass. It was expected that it would be slow because the water temp was approximately 48-49 degrees. Roy and Teresa Smith of Brady won with 6.46 and Teresa got ladies big bass with a 1.5. Teresa was the only lady to weigh in a bass.

Second place went to Ronnie & Liz Charanza with 5.98. Ronnie also got men’s big bass with that 5.98. Sure was a pretty bass. Thanks to all that braved the weather to fish.  Next tournament is at OH Ivie 3-13-10 at Elm Creek.

There wasa drawing at the weigh in for two tickets to a Texas Rangers game donated by Ronnie & Liz. Other drawings during the year will include $50 off a set of tires and a spray in bed liner. You will have to have fished at least 5 tournaments to be eligible for the bed liner.  Click here to see the full story.
