The Christmas Under The Stars Lighted Parade will kick off a weekend of holiday events at the Depot Plaza including the 10th annual Christmas Under the Stars Festival on Friday December, 7th and Saturday, December 8th sponsored by Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

The festival will include Santa Claus, “snow mountain,” kids’ activities, big wheel races and more.

The parade route will once again begin at E. Adams Street and end at the intersection of E. Baker Street and S. Greenleaf Street.

“The Police Department would like to remind everyone to please have patience with traffic control measures that will put in place prior to and during the parade.  This is done for the safety of everyone enjoying the parade as well as riding in the parade.  Numerous streets will be blocked off to vehicle traffic prior to the start of the parade.” stated Brownwood Police Chief Terry Nichols. “Anyone participating in the parade is encouraged to be at the staging area at the designated time in order to avoid having to park and walk a long distance.  Citizens are reminded that it is illegal to drive around police barricades.”

This year’s parade is sponsored by Texas Rock Crusher Railway and will be held on Thursday, December 6th beginning at 6:30 PM in Downtown Brownwood.
