The West Texas Rehabilitation Center of Abilene held its Round Up For Rehab benefit auction today in Brownwood, and it brought many people from the community together to visit, bid and enjoy some food.
The action kicked off today at 10am at the Adams Street Community Center with many items available in the silent auctions. Bidders had an anonymous bidder number, but many bidders were keeping close tabs on the items that they wanted. There were an array of items available including pieces of art, desserts, gift certificates, jewelry, knifes, tools, and more.
They rang the dinner bell at 11:30 with free hamburgers and drinks which started bringing in the crowd. The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce also hosted a ribbon cutting for the West Texas Rehabilitation Center during the event, then everything was topped off with a great live auction.
