It was an emotional homecoming Friday night for Mike Rosato. He and his wife Kim escorted daughter Naomi to be crowned homecoming queen during Friday’s halftime ceremony, but it was a familiar trip for Mike.
Naomi is now the third Rosato daughter to be crowned homecoming queen at Brownwood High School following sisters Natalie in 2007 and Nicole in 2008.
“It was honestly emotional; these young ladies, all of them, are well deserving of the honor,” Mike said. “It was real emotional for me.”
The girls have passed down the homecoming mum to each other which bears each girl’s name on the ribbons still.
Nicole remembered the year that she won the crown in 2008 after her sister in back-to-back years.
“Yes, she crowned me, which was pretty cool,” Nicole said. “I wish I could have crowned her (Naomi).”
An obviously proud father, Mike said that the girls are beautiful inside and out and it has been a blessing to raise them.
“They are all really great girls, they make being a parent very easy,” Mike said.
The newest family homecoming queen, Naomi, plans to attend college and play collegiate volleyball; she is considering Palm Beach Atlantic University, Azusa Pacific University and Dallas Baptist University.
