Services for Rosalie Scott Meeks of Brownwood will be held at 2:00 pm Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at the Davis-Morris Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the funeral home. Rosalie passed away May 6, 2018 at Midland Memorial Hospital in Midland. She was 91 years old.
She was born in Coleman December 12, 1926. She married Nathan H. (Tuffy) Meeks on April 19, 1947. She is preceded in death by her husband, son Nathan R. Meeks, grandson Tyler W. Berry and son-in-law Gaylan W. Berry. She will be joined once again with her parents, three sisters and a brother.
She is survived by her daughter Carolyn Meeks Berry of Midland; grandchildren Shelby Berry Thomas and husband Cleve of Midland, Amber Meeks Boswell and husband John of Early; Brandon Meeks of Early and Eric Williams and wife Tammy of Midland; and daughter-in-law C. J. Meeks of Midland. Great grandchildren are Mazie Joy and Jace Tyler Thomas, Hope and Mattyson Boswell and Jonathon, Hayden and Lacy Williams. She also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
In her early years, she was a hairdresser and then settled in to being a homemaker in 1959. Her hobbies were sewing and quilting. She loved the Lord and her church, and read the entire Bible from Genesis to Revelations.
