Ronnie A. Middleton, age 66, of Brownwood/Eldorado, passed away on July 21, 2010 at his home after a courageous battle with Cancer.  He was born March 25, 1944, to W.A. Toodle & Betty Middleton in Brownwood. He married Maggie Stockton at their Ranch in Eldorado on September 9, 1972.  Ronnie started his career as a Store Manager for Goodyear Tire Company, then a Fleet Supervisor for General Telephone, and a District Manager for Allsups Convenience Stores.  In 1994 to the present, he was a District Manager and Independent Agent for AFLAC, where he finally found a company that had the same values to help others as he has always had.  He was a member of the Texas Pork Producers, and raised show pigs successfully for many years.  In 1988, he bred & raised the Grand & Reserve Champion of the West Texas Fair & Rodeo.  In 2007, he returned to his love of raising pigs to be involved with his grandchildren.  The past three years he has sponsored children through several local schools so they had an opportunity to raise and show pigs.  On May 1, 2010, he was inducted into the Gordon Wood Hall of Champions with his 1960 State Championship Brownwood Lions Football Team.  He was a member of the Southwest Football Officials Association for over 30 years.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years Maggie Middleton of Eldorado, three daughters Ronda Newberry and husband Tim of Tuscola, Marci Tutt and husband Kevin of Tuscola,  Shianne Middleton of Eldorado, two sons Shy Lowe Middleton of Brownwood and Lonnie Middleton of Eldorado, twelve grandchildren Mason Garner and wife Maegan, Austin Garner and fiancé Kaley, Kelsey and Karson Tutt all of Tuscola, Brees  and Bray Guevara of Eldorado, and Korbin Blaise of Frisco, Dusti Dorman and husband Bobby of Buffalo Gap and Trisha Corbett of Clyde.  Six great grandchildren Aubree Jo Garner and Creed Garner of Tuscola, Jayden and Tayler Dorman of Buffalo Gap, Cody and Bailey Corbett of Clyde, a brother Dale Middleton and wife Troi of San Angelo, and a sister Frankie “Jan” Sandlin of Cody, Wyoming, two brother in laws Curtis Stockton, Jr and wife Jeanne of Houston and Curt Stockton of Menard, an Aunt Anita Middleton of Brownwood and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Ronnie was preceded in death by his Father, Mother, Grandparents, Uncles and Aunts.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday July 24, 2010 at 1:00pm at Coggin Avenue Baptist Church with Richard Hetzel and Dallas Huston officiating and Tom Montgomery special speaker, interment will be at Ft McKavett Cemetery at 6:00pm on Saturday. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00pm on Friday July 23 at Blaylock Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to West Texas Boys Ranch, San Angelo.
