Ronald Jay Waller, age 62, of Coleman, died Monday, March 9, 2020 at his residence.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be 9:00 a.m. Sunday, March 22, 2020 at the Hords Creek Cowboy Church, 3851 State Highway 153, with Seth Moore, officiating.

Cremation and services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman.

He was born April 16, 1957 in Ethiopia, Eastern Africa to Mr. and Mrs. R.J. Waller.   With his father being in the United States Army, Ronald grew up in many places.  He graduated from El Capitan High School in Lakeside, California in 1975.  Ronald proudly served his country during the Vietnam War and was a tanker in the United States Army.  He was a master planner and scheduler at General Dynamics Convair Division from 1979 to 1996.  Ronald lived all over and could speak many different languages.  In 2003, he graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Grossmont College.  Ronald was a member of the Lion’s Club in California, Washington State, and Coleman.  He attended the Hords Creek Cowboy Church and loved attending Celebrate Recovery.  Ronald moved to Coleman on April 17, 2019.  He married Debra Thompson on May 18, 2019 in Coleman.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Debra Waller of Coleman; his children, Shane Waller and Kristi Pence; and his sisters, Debbie Davis, Dixie Perozzi, and Cheryl Palma.
