The 47th Annual Brown County Rodeo is fast approaching. The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce is now accepting registration forms for the annual rodeo parade that will take place on Saturday June 12th to coincide with the rodeo. Although the date of the rodeo and parade is earlier than most people are used to, it should be as fun and entertaining as always.
The 2010 Rodeo Parade will travel through downtown Brownwood and will feature a variety of floats, cars, tractors, and fun. Awards will be given to parade entrants including best in-town float, best out-of-town float, best decorated vehicle, riding clubs, horse drawn vehicle, antique vehicle, tractors, and best bike/unicycle.
Registration forms for the parade are available at the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce website www.brownwoodchamber.org or call 325-646-9535 for more information.
Everyone is encouraged to come out and have a good time during the rodeo June 10-12 and participate in the parade that Saturday morning. Downtown businesses and businesses across the county are encouraged to hang flags and buntings to show their pride and support for one of the longest running events in Brown County. By working together and showing community pride, this could be an event that many will remember for a long time to come.
