Brownwood High School Lady Lion Sydney Roberts recently played in the Colin Clark Invitational Golf Tournament which was held at Delaware Springs Golf Course in Burnet, the district site, on Monday. The tournament was made up of two divisions, 4 & 5A and 1, 2 & 3A.
Roberts shot a 77, earning second place behind Morgan Rogers from Lampasas who shot 76.
According to BHS Golf Coach Laura Martin, there was a total of 125 girls which included everyone from Region 1 District 8. Only one player out shot Roberts in the 4-5A division as well, as Mia Ayer from Midway also shot a 76.
Coach Martin stated, “I’m very proud of Sydney and looking forward to Fredericksburg on Tuesday.”
