Roberta Elinor Kidd Perkins (Nana) age 73 of Brownwood, TX she had a massive stroke & passed away peacefully surrounded by all her family on September 23, 2013.
She was born on August 15, 1940 to Robert & Clara (Mertz) Kidd in San Bernardino, CA. She married the love of her life Ellis Perkins on July 29, 1957 in Brownwood TX. They shared a love that was like no other. She was swept off her feet by her best friend & lived a fairy tale the next 56 years of their marriage. She graduated from Zephyr High School in 1958. She then went on to get her Business Degree in Accounting. In, 1980 Roberta & Ellis bought Southwest Appliance & Furniture she worked with her soul mate from that moment on. Roberta loved to travel, gamble & put puzzles together on her dining room table. She had a love for reading and was the biggest sports fan you would have ever met. Above all, she had an overflowing love for every single one of her grandkids & great grandkids; She would do anything for them and made sure they had everything they needed no matter the circumstance.

Roberta touched so many people’s hearts, and she most definitely did not know a stranger. All & All she was the best wife, sister, mother & grandmother that anyone could ever ask for. She is going to be greatly missed but never forgotten she is going to live through the hearts of all of us!
Funeral services will be Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. in the Coggin Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Tim Skaggs officiating. Interment will follow at Indian Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday September 25, 2013 from 6-8:00 P.m. at Heartland Funeral Home Early, Texas.
