Robert Stewart

Graveside services with military honors for Robert Stewart, age 68, of Waco, formerly of Lake Brownwood will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 7, at Energy Cemetery in Comanche County.  Interment will follow under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home & Cremations.  The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  Mr. Stewart died October 4, 2010 at his home.

Robert was born April 28, 1942 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, the son of the late Luther L. and Rosa Belle (Anderson) Stewart.  He married Anne Hernandez February 2, 1992 in Abilene and was retired from the U. S. Air Force.  Upon his retirement from the USAF, Robert was a contractor, a job he loved doing.  He attended Bellmead Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Anne Stewart of Waco; children, Lauretta Jackson of Abilene, Robert Stewart, Jr. of Abilene, Leceia Stewart of Ft. Worth; numerous grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Curtis Stewart, Amanda Roberts, Harem Stewart, Linda Ray DuBose, Judy and Mario Segura; and nieces and nephews, Kirstie Segura, Joe Gonzalez, Lexie Gonzalez, Andrew Segura, Daniel Segura and Amy Segura.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Stewart, two brothers, mother-in-law, Antonia Hernandez and sister-in-law, Edna Hernandez.
