Robert Lee ‘Sonny’ Edwards, Jr. a lifetime resident of Coleman, Texas passed from this life to be with his Lord on Thursday, April 2, 2020 at 6:55 pm at the Hendricks Medical Center in Abilene at the age of 77 years.
A private family graveside services will be held with Sister Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at the Coleman City Cemetery with services under the direction of Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman.
Sonny was born April 12, 1942 in Normangee, Leon County, Texas to Robert Lee Edwards, Sr. and Mary Claudine Brisby Edwards. He was raised in Coleman where he attended and graduated from Humphrey High School. In 1979 he married Ruby Love in Brownwood, Texas and they have celebrated 41 years of marriage.
Sonny was a faithful member of the Truevine Baptist Church and worked in road construction until his retirement. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids and enjoyed gardening and music.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, one Sister and three Brothers.
