Greg Henson, 65, of Novice, died February 13, 2020.

There will be a visitation from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 16, 2020 at Stevens Funeral Home, 400 West Pecan Street, Coleman.

Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 17, 2020 at Oplin Baptist Church, 19207 FM 604, Oplin, with Rev. C.W. Parker officiating.  Burial will be in the Oplin Cemetery.  Services are under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home.

He was born Robert Gregory Henson on December 7, 1954 in Sweetwater to Winona Yeager Hanson and the late Robert Lewis Henson.  Greg grew up in Midland and Houston, where he attend school.  Greg worked as a pipe insulator while living in Houston.  Greg moved to Lake Coleman and later to Novice, where he worked building fences.  Greg loved fishing and flying radio controlled air planes and drones with his grandchildren.  He was a member of Oplin Baptist Church.

Survivors include four children, Tammy Purvis of Abilene, Tracy Coleman of Spring, Karen Crocker of Washington, Jennifer Henson of Santa Fe; his mother, Winona Henson of Novice; one brother, Eddie Henson of Novice and one sister, Ann Smith of Madisonville.  Also surviving are nine grandchildren and 11 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father.
