Robert Gable, age100, of Bangs died Thursday afternoon in Sagebrook Health Center in Cedar Park.
Graveside services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday in the Bangs Cemetery with Rev. Benny M. Allcorn officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home of Early.
He was born January 30, 1910 in Bangs, the seventh child of eleven children of Leo and Annie Gable. He attended schools in Bangs. He was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and had farmed in the Bangs area for many years. He had lived in the Bangs area
for 96 years prior to moving to Cedar Park.
He is survived by two sons, Bill Gable and wife Sue Ann, and Jim Gable and wife LaJuana both of Liberty Hill
A step daughter, Bonnie Doss of New Braunfels
A Daughter-in-law, Pat Gable of Leander
He was also blessed with 8 Grandchildren and 7 Great Grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Katherine Gable and his eldest son, Robert Edward
(Bob) Gable as well as several brothers and sisters.
