Robert E. Hagins, age 81, of Blanket, formerly of Snyder, passed away on Monday, May 23rd, 2016 in Dallas.
Funeral services will be on Friday, May 27th, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel in Early. Burial will follow in the Salt Creek Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.
Mr. Hagins was born in Jayton on September 19, 1934 to Joe and Hazel Hagins. Robert attended Snyder schools and graduated from Snyder High School in 1954. He was employed by the Texas Railroad Commission for 26 years up until the time of his death. He married Bonnie Hagins in Weatherford in 1980.
Robert is survived by two sons, Kerry Hagins and wife Rita and Terry Hagins and wife Mary, all of Snyder; a daughter, Teresa Lindsey of Snyder, a brother Bernie Hagins and wife Lois of Glen Rose, a sister Sammie Kingston and husband Bill of Lubbock; eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and two special puppies – Sugar and JJ.He was preceded in death by his wife in 2012, his parents and a brother.
