Robert Donald “R.D.” Brusenhan, 61, of Lake Brownwood, died Thursday, June 14, 2012, at his home. Born in Garden City, Kansas, on December 17, 1950, R.D. worked in the oilfields of West Texas for over 45 years. He was predeceased by his mother, Jean Breeding; brother-in-law, Brian Moon; and sister-in-law, Cindy Brusenhan.
Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Ruby Gail Eddings Brusenhan; sons: Bobby, Mike, and Ashley (Shannon) Brusenhan; grandchildren: Brandon, Matthew, Tamra, Brooklynn, and Buddy; great-grandchildren: Katelynn and Johnellis; father Don Brusenhan of Brownwood; brother Bill Brusenhan (Marynell Branch) of Hot Springs Village, AR; sisters Debbie (Ron) Sanders of Alpine, TX, and Judy Moon (Ray Henley) of Hot Springs, AR; brother by another mother Johnny (Linda) Dagenhart of Blackwell, TX; sister-in-law Vanda Estep of El Dorado, TX; brother-in-law Norman (Diana) Eddings of Monahans, TX; special golf buddies: Jerry Eden, Jack Turner, and Joe Williams, as well as many other family members and friends.
A celebration of RD’s life will be held at 1:00PM, June 23, 2012, at Blaylock Funeral Home, 1914 Indian Creek Road in Brownwood, TX, with Bill Brusenhan officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Corrine T. Smith Animal Shelter, 3016 Milam Drive, Brownwood, TX. Blaylock Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
