StandleeRobertCurtisRobert Curtis Standlee age 84 of Early, Texas died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services with military honors will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, December 2, 2011 at Heartland Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Locker Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Thursday, December 1, 2011 at Heartland Funeral Home.

Robert Curtis Standlee was born February 5, 1927 in Locker, Texas, the son of the late Joseph and Sallie Bradley Standlee. He served in the United States Army during World War II. Robert married Barbara Anders in Brownwood, Texas on April 29, 1949. Standlee was a member of Early First Baptist Church since 1995 and served as a deacon of the church. He enjoyed fishing, watching the Dallas Cowboys and had lived in Early since 1973.

Timothy Joseph Brumit and wife Nicole of Carrolton
3 Great grandchildren
Sister: Judy McCormick and husband Don of Athens, GA
Sister-in-law: Creta Nell Sallee of Brownwood
Numerous nieces and nephews
