Robert “Bob” Armour, age 74, of Brownwood passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014 after a long battle with Leukemia.
Graveside Services with full Military Honors for Bob will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, March 1, 2014 at Bangs Cemetery with Richard Hetzel officiating. Visitation will be held Friday evening from 5-7 P.M. at Blaylock Funeral Home.
Bob was born on September 10, 1939 to John and Anna (Gramm) Armour in Harrisburg, PA. After high school he joined the United States Air Force in 1958, serving two tours in Vietnam. Bob retired from the US Air Force as a Master Sergeant in 1979 after 21 dedicated years. Bob attended college after the Air Force receiving two Master Degrees in Business Management and also became a Licensed Realtor. He worked for the US Postal Service in Abilene, Texas and retired after 13 years. He has been a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion. He was a mason. Bob loved fishing and gambling, and his dog, Bitty.
Bob is survived by his wife of 31 years, Wanda Armour of Brownwood; sons, Bob Armour, Jr. and wife Launa of Scottsdale, AZ, Donald Henderson and partner David Repplinger of Dallas, Mike Armour of Phonenix, AZ, Joe Watson of Longview, Jerry Watson of Emory, and Terry Henderson and wife Kim of Bangs; daughters, Dawn Lee Olsen and husband Randy of Peoria, AZ and Dawn Marie Dyer and husband Todd of Paso Robles, CA; brother, John Armour and wife Cindy of Sacramento, CA; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and two on the way.
He was preceded by his parents; grandparents; and one great-grandchild.
