Howard Payne junior guard Brittany Roberson has been named to D3hoops.com’s national Team of the Week for games played the week of February 19. Roberson is the fifth honoree from the ASC on the national honor roll this season, joining Mississippi College’s Jennifer Wair, Hardin-Simmons’ Lindsey Newcombe, Ozarks’ Lacey Phillips and Concordia Texas’ Shamika Singleton.
Roberson led Howard Payne in wins over McMurry and Hardin-Simmons last week to clinch the ASC West Division title and the right to host the ASC tournament. Along with averaging 20 points per game for the week, she dished out 16 assists and was 17-of-18 from the free-throw line. She also grabbed 10 rebounds in the two wins.
