TxDOT’s annual seal coat maintenance project is moving through Brownwood this week. The following schedule is anticipated; however, these dates vary due to contractor progress and weather conditions:
Wednesday Aug. 14: Austin Ave. at W. Commerce to Ave. K
Austin Avenue at Brooks to FM 2126 (the “Access Road”)
Thursday, Aug. 15: US 84 at FM 2126/the Access Road to the Fort Worth & Western Railway overpass.
The project will then move to US 377 (Main Street) from the Traffic T (Commerce St. intersection) to Austin and Main intersection.
Thursday/Friday, Aug. 15: Truman Harlow Overpass frontage roads
US 377 at 18th Street to FM 45 near Kohler.
TxDOT appreciates the patience of drivers through these construction zones. Please use alternate routes if possible or allow for delays. Various lane closures will occur and in areas reduced to one lane, flaggers will be present to assist with traffic control.
