CityofBrownwoodlogo_smallCity of Brownwood Assistant Division Director of Public Works David Harris released the following information concerning the upcoming schedule of road construction on Coggin Avenue.

Hot mix overlay work will begin on Coggin Avenue from Austin to 13th Street on Monday July 27th and will continue through July 29th.  We are asking that citizens take alternate routes on those days to help protect the lives of the workers on the projects and travelers in the area of the project.  There will be large equipment and many workers on foot in the work zone.

If cars drive or people walk on the hot mix material before it is compacted and cooled properly, there could be irreversible damage to the riding surface of the road and possible damage to vehicles and pedestrians.  Please take alternate routes those days and be very cautious if you have to be in the area.
