Graveside services for Rita Beakley, age 85, of San Angelo and formerly of Brownwood will be held at 10:30 AM Saturday, November 4, 2017 at the Cox Cemetery in McCulloch County. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM Friday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home.
Rita Joy Horne was born December 26, 1931 to Homer Clint and Thelma Lee (Underwood) Horne in Lohn, Texas. She married Harry Lee Beakley on May 25, 1949. He preceded her in death November 28, 2003. She lived in Brownwood for many years until moving to Trinity in 2011, then San Angelo in March, 2017.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Karen Beakley of Doss, daughter and son-in-law Donna and Alan Stanley of San Angelo; grandchildren Jamie and Aaron Ivy, Jordan and Kristen Beakley and Casi Halfmann; and aunt Helen Deeds.
Rita is preceded in death by her husband, parents and a brother, Don Horne.
