RisingStarVFDLogoThe Rising Star Volunteer Fire Department’s Fall Firefighter Fundraiser will be happening November 1st from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. at the Market Building on Main Street in Rising Star.

Brisket tacos with all the trimmings including desserts will be served to enjoy there or to take home.  The department is currently selling raffle tickets for four guns and a gun safe with a mystery gun inside:  a Mallard Over/Under 20 gauge shotgun, a Ruger Winchester 243, a SigSauer P250 compact 45mm, a special edition pink gun that is a Bersa Thunder 380 and a Liberty special John Deere edition 25 gun safe with a mystery gun inside.

Tickets are available now at AMA Techtel on South Main in Rising Star, Oilfield Supply on East Hwy 36, Callahan County Pump & Amp Supply in Cross Plains, the Runaway Train Café in Brownwood, the Heartland Mall office in Early or any member of the fire department will be glad to connect you with some tickets if those locations are not convenient. You can also call 254-643-3004 to make arrangements to buy tickets. Winning tickets will be drawn on November 1st.
