Services for Rickey Dale Yeats, age 61, of Brownwood will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015 at Blaylock Funeral Home Chapel with Ruben Packer and David Barnum officiating, private family interment will follow at Jordan Springs Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Blaylock Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home.
Rickey went to be with the Lord Tuesday, April 14, 2015 at Brownwood Regional Medical Center. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all. He will be greatly missed.
He was born to Glen and Dixie (Hammer) Yeats on September 9, 1953 in Kermit, Texas. Rickey married his loving wife, Alta Marie Harvey, on June 10, 1978 at Olden Baptist Church in Olden, Texas. He worked at Sivalls and retired after 30 years. Rickey was a man of faith, who loved to serve his Lord; he was member of Victory Baptist Church and taught Men’s Sunday School Class. Rickey loved being with his family, fishing, and baseball.Rickey is survived by his wife of 36 years, Alta Yeats; sons, Michael Yeats and wife Jennifer, Adam Yeats and wife Melissia, Jason Stacy and wife Rachel; grandchildren, Angelica, Mark, Thane, Tristyn, Tobey, Addalynn, Jacob, Luke, and Hannah; mother, Dixie Haws and husband Terry; sisters, Ann Yeats, Darla Yeats, Cindy Yeats; brother, Philip Yeats and wife Melissa; brother-in-law, Charles Harvey and fiancé Linda Dickerson; sister-in-law, Tammy Adams and husband Billy. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Glen Yeats; step-father, A.P. Fambro; mother-in-law, Wilma Harvey Gregory; father-in-law, Junior Harvey; and grandson, Cooper Lyn Yeats.
