Graveside services for Rey Vasquez, 63, of Bangs, will be held at 2 pm on Friday, June 22, in Greenleaf Cemetery. Interment will follow, under the direction of Netherton Funeral Home.
Mr. Vasquez passed away on Thursday, June 21, 2012, in Bangs.
Rey Vasquez was born on September 16, 1948, near Las Cruses, New Mexico, to Francisco Vasquez and Maria Quintana Vasquez. He was raised in California with ten brothers and five sisters. Rey was a Christian and loved his God with all his heart. He was married and had one child. Rey loved the outdoors and was an accomplished carpenter. He had worked on the farm for most of his life and a passion for gardening and pretty flowers. Rey was a very kind man who loved his friends and family to the fullest. He will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Francisco and Maria Vasquez and his wife.
