Rev. Davis Ray Tindol was born September 19, 1926, on a ranch in Cadiz, TX. He was one of six children born to Daniel J. and Annie Mae Ray Tindol. George, Neville, Barbara Ann, and Myrna Mae preceded him in death.
He is survived by a brother, Daniel J. Tindol, of Brownwood, a wife, Eva Ray and daughter, Sandy, who live in Decatur, TX. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews in various parts of the world, Alabama and China.
Ray was a graduate of Howard Payne University where his studies were both theological and musical. He is remembered by family, friends and churches in which he served for his beautiful Irish tenor voice, inherited from his Irish tenor fiddle-playing father and English mother.
