The Heartland Cruisers awarded prizes today in their Classic Car show of People’s Choice and the Club Choice awards.
As members of the Heartland Cruisers began the award ceremony, they noted that close to 3500 ballots were cast during the show. They estimate that they could have gotten even more, but ran out of ballots for a short time.
After tabulating the votes, the People’s Choice award went to Freddy Washborn from Temple for his 1955 Chevy (photo at bottom)
The Heartland Cruiser’s Club Choice award went to Thom Frazier from Mason for his 1956 Chevy (photo to left).
The members of the Heartland Cruisers were very appreciative of the help that the Reunion gave them
with the show and wished that they could have given 51 awards, one for each car in the show.
The car show was free for the public to view and free to enter and organizers hope to keep it that way in the future.
