The Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a retirement reception on Thursday for outgoing Brownwood Economic Development Corporation Executive Director James Campbell. Local dignitaries, city employees, family and friends all attended the event to thanks Campbell for his years of service.
Campbell has served in this capacity for 18 years and has been instrumental in bringing new industry to the area and helping expansion projects for existing industries.
BEDC Board President Gary Butts and City Manager Bobby Rountree each thanked Campbell for his years of service as well as former Mayor Bert V. Massey, II.
Campbell’s last work day will be Monday, May 9th.
