National Life Chain Sunday 2009 brought out a few dozen pro-life Christians to the intersection of Main & Commerce (known as the “traffic-t”) to pray and display their stance on abortion. Participants displayed signs showing their opinion of abortion to passing motorists on Sunday afternoon.
The National Life Chain event is held each year across the US and Canada on the first Sunday in October. For 2009, 1450 cities planned to participate in the event. The local event was supported by several churches in the area from multiple denominations.
