The state’s annual Tax Free Weekend starts today as shoppers head to the stores for back to school shopping.
This year’s Sales Tax Holiday runs from August 21-23 and the list of qualified purchases has been expanded. Not only can shoppers save sales tax on clothing, but many school supply products can now qualify for the savings as well.
Texas families can get a sales tax break on clothes, footwear and some backpacks, and on most school supplies priced at less than $100 purchased for use by a student in an elementary or secondary school.
