The BISD Reading and Math Rodeo is a summer school accelerated reading and math academy for elementary students. It was conducted June 7th-July 2nd, with thirteen students attending.
The program concludes with a Reading and Math Rodeo Finale and the Fanta C Corral, brought by Nancy and Jay Blackstock. The Blackstocks are both BISD staff members, and have been bringing their horses to the summer program for several years. During the Finale, students learn about and get to ride horses.
Teachers for the summer program are Martha Graves for reading and Amy Fisher for math.
