Tuesday, July 1st is the date of the Annual Brown County Range and Brush program. It will be held at the Brown County Fairgrounds located on HWY 377 South (towards Brady). The program will begin at 4:30p.m. Five (5) CEUs will be offered to TDA licensed pesticide applicators.
The on-going drought has not affected brush emergence and encroachment. If anything, it may have eliminated some forages that compete with unwanted brush species.
There will be some of the leading Extension and industry specialist lined up to speak at the Range & Brush program.
Speakers/Topics include:
Dr. Bob Lyons, Where to Find Brush Control Answers
Mr. Ralph Porter, Herbicides for Brush Control
Mr. Doug Steen, Controlling Coyotes/Feral Hogs
Dr. Morgan Russell, Common Mistakes with Brush Herbicides
Neal Alexander, Pesticide Laws & Regs
There will be a $25 registration fee payable at the door for those that pre-register by June 27, 2014. Otherwise, it will be $30. A catered evening meal will be included.
This July 1st program will be a prime opportunity to find out the most up to date information and strategies from the leading authorities on brush, coyotes, and feral hogs. Plus, you can get 5 CEUs.
